NHL Network

On October 26th, NHL Network went live with an entirely new HD and SD ticker system from Reality Check Systems. In addition to the graphic design, RCS also created custom software and hardware to handle the demands of this 24 hour automated system.  The ticker has various modes of play out during certain segments of daily programming, including the "Hockey Box" mode. In this mode, viewers get caught up on the latest conference standings, league leaders, league and team schedules plus current NHL.com headlines.  The entire system is integrated with two different master control traffic systems in the US and Canada, and handles automation of commands to trigger the ticker, "Hockey Box", HD wings and LIVE bug. Playlist creation and management is handled from the NHL's corporate office in New York City.
