NFL.com Combine

In February 2009  RCS partnered with NFL.com to provide  production services for the NFL Scouting Combine. The RCS and RC Gear crews handled pre-production on everything from engineering and building the hardware to animating the show graphics. A custom version of Uppercut, our intelligent video system software, allowed a single director to switch the 22 live camera feeds to produce four distinct channels simultaneously. The result was an unprecedented amount of broadcast quality content,  including a full suite of graphics, delivered by a fraction of the personnel required for a traditional broadcast. The Uppercut system for The Combine was configured to take in all 22 camera feeds from the NFL Network broadcast and a custom touch screen powered by Uppercut allowed NFL.COM to direct and produce four unique channels - with a single operator acting as TD/Director for all four. The end result was that online viewers were given four additional broadcast quality channels on which to enjoy the action in addition to the single channel provided by the host broadcaster, NFL Network.
